Activities will include, but are not limited to, assessing work readiness, exploring work opportunities, providing on the job training in a variety of environments, acting as liaison between employee and employer, etc.

Job Description:

Job Coach DSP​ – Work 1:1 with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to assist them in obtaining and maintaining long-term gainful employment. Activities will include, but are not limited to, assessing work readiness, exploring work opportunities, providing on the job training in a variety of environments, acting as liaison between employee and employer, etc.

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) Requirements

General Requirements: Minimum of HS Diploma or equivalent, clean background check and driving record, legible writing skills, the ability to use personal vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage. While no previous experience is needed, successful candidates must have the fundamental belief that people with disabilities are worthy of respect.

While assisting the individual to become a part of their community, the candidate will be an advocate for change by breaking down societal barriers and actively working to change negative perceptions.
